Today was the 1st day on my journey. I have started off at 292.6. I am hoping that this week is a big drop at least to the 281 that I was before the weekend as I am holding what feels like a ton of water weight. I can feel it in my joints and in my feet and hands. I cant even wear my rings. I hope that it at least makes me not look so swollen. I was suppose to have taken my measurements today but I forgot with everything else in the house I am doing. I guess I will just have to remember to do that in the morning.
Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled and 1 cup of oatmeal with a splash of almond milk unsweetened
Snack: 1 boiled egg and a lactation cookie
Lunch: broccoli slaw salad with ground chicken, dressing was a homemade fage yogurt mixed with SF Italian dressing from Walden farms and sunflower butter. This was super tasty. and a Kombucha in 7 berry sangria flavor.
Snack: sliced spiced apple (also had about a cup of chicken and cabbage filling for the eggrolls for the freezer, this was all through just tasting to get spices right and mindless eating when coming into the kitchen)
Dinner: 1 chicken breast diced up with a full bunch of pak choi in a soup made with chicken bone stock and beef gelatin, Vietnamese chili paste and the juice of one lemon
Dessert: frozen fruit "ice cream" approx. 1 banana, 4 strawberries and one pineapple spear and less that 3 oz of coconut milk
I forgot to take a picture of my ice cream but that was because I made a video when making the ice cream on youtube http://youtu.be/aR0YTv5Jum0. Don't worry I will indeed end up posting a pic here many times of this delectable dessert as it is one of my favorites and helps me with my sweet tooth without throwing me under the bus under my health change.
Had constant urge for munchies and just watching a pizza commercial made me hungry for pizza, Hubby was no help since he asked if I wanted to go out for pizza until he remembered what I was doing and than said we could still go and I could order a salad. Yeah, like I have that kind of will power right now. Just the fact that I contemplated I could put this off one more day and go to the place and have pizza just told me that I wasn't ready for that kind of temptation yet. I am serious about this and have to avoid situations where I can fuck up so easily like the plague. I have to think of my health and my children. Overall, I did not cheat and it was a great day. I had a total of 2 bottles of homemade Kombucha "soda" flavored with teavana teas which were phenomenal and were a huge help to curb the soda craving. I cannot express enough how much of a lifesaver they are and cant wait to try other flavors. I guess that is it for the night and hope to have an easier day tomorrow. Nite all!
